The Justice Development and Peace Commission/Caritas JDPC week flag-off for 2015 was focused on the theme “Enforcing the right to good governance”. The annual event which ushers in a week long activities is geared towards bringing members of JDCP from all the parishes in Onitsha Archdiocese to share learning and experiences of work, interventions, approaches, strategies and results. This year’s event hinged on Human rights which was focused on six sub-heads;

The Executive Director of JDPC Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Dr. Edwin Udoye in his key note address stated that 2015 JDPC week emphasis the need for active citizenship. “This year’s JDPC week offers us the opportunity to strengthen our knowledge of rights and obligations to the State”
The participants at the flag-off event were trained Rev. Bar. Ikenga Oraegbunam on Constitutional provisions of Fundamental human Rights. The Parish JDPCs from six regions under the Archdiocese showcased Drama’s, Melo-Drama’s, Dance, News based on the subheads.
